Andrew Brown is a Melbourne based artist whose practice examines the spatial interaction humans have to each other and their environment. A psychiatric nurse for the past fourteen years, he has developed a significant insight into the cognitive processes of the human mind and this has informed his creativity.
Although Andrew enjoys photographing digitally he also enjoys using the polaroid SX-70 camera, circa 1970’s, and the Diana F+ medium format plastic toy camera. The patience and spatial awareness that comes with using film cameras, has been of great benefit to his digital practice.
I completed an Advanced Diploma of Photography in 2016.
